The existing consolidated data storage had its day: Alysis Care Group was ready for a centrally managed storage with sound performance in terms of scalability, availability and affordability.
Databasement's response: a combination of Network Appliance, Veritas en StorageTrek products which together provides centralised storage (14TB) and provides for future growth for the next 5 - 10 years with a maximum of 80 TB.
Moreover entirely automatic disaster recovery has been realised. With the implementation of a central management platform for all data and all formerly local backup has been centralised.
At the primary location a clustered storage system is used, the failover location is configured not only for site failover but also for archival and back-up. At a third location there is back-up to tape.
